Playtesters have asked, so we are delivering! This week, we’re adding throwables and tripwires.

Below is some early work on the smoke grenade. There’s no character animation for it yet, but you’ll get some concealment as you assault the objective.

This is a test of the tripwire. There are some good defensive options for this puppy, but if a player’s sharp enough to see it, they’ll be able to disarm it, too.

A few of you have been asking us about how a veteran might be able to break into the games industry. We won’t pretend it’s easy, especially these days, but here are a few resources from our friends at Hire Heroes USA. Recorded in 2021, these videos feature a few veterans and friends already in the industry.

Hire Heroes USA is a nonprofit that empowers U.S. military members, veterans, and their spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce in any industry. They provide free, personalized career services for U.S. military members, veterans, and spouses: one-on-one coaching, resume writing, and job matching. And they’ll still help you out if you’ve been out of the military for a while. Some people now using their resources were part of the recent government layoffs. And they’re always looking for volunteers!
