Welcome to Tank Town

Testing begins on a new map

Lazy summers are for other devs.

There’s a lot going on this summer at Old Glory Studios. We’ve started testing our next map, Tank Town, and work on the “ashcan” version of the Victory’s Grave TTRPG is getting some momentum.

Tank Town, Baby!

The largest town in town in Outflank’s Baltic Zone, Nadazryn sits on the bank of the narrow, wooded Młyn River. Formerly the central agricultural hub for the region, the town was the sight of a brutal clash between NATO and Warsaw Pact armored units.

Now left with the rusting hulks of M1 Abrams and T72 tanks, the survivors call it: Tank Town.

The community started putting this map through its paces last week, and the larger town and the contrasting terrain has demanded some very different strategies. You notice those woods on the edge of town? I die there every match.

Our current plan is to have five playable maps upon release. All them will be set in the same Baltic Zone as the Chapel Hill and Tank Town maps, and they’ll all require their own unique strategies.

Victory’s Grave, the TTRPG

Old Glory Studios is primarily focused on video games, but we’ve always planned to create a tabletop roleplaying game set in the Victory’s Grave universe.

Adapting the rules-lite Mörk Bork third-party license, the Victory’s Grave TTRPG will be a brutal game where just surviving is its own form of living. Taking more cues from the original, heavy-metal fantasy Mörk Borg ttrpg, Victory’s Grave is also inspired by the ‘zines some of us are old enough to remember.

We’re currently working on the “ashcan” edition of the manual. (An ashcan is basically a beta version of a book.) Featuring most of the game’s rules and a heavy dose of lore, we’ll use this edition for beta testing and to see how much interest gamers have in a full version.
